Next week, Prague will get a second major outlet mall.
Fashion Arena Prague Outlet, located on the Eastern outskirts of Prague in Štěrboholy, has long been the Czech capital’s only outlet mall. But from next week, they’ll have some competition.
A joint project between The Prague Outlet and Spanish developer Neivner, Prague The Style Outlets will officially open its doors to the public on Friday, May 18. It was originally scheduled to open in October 2017, a date that had been pushed back.
The new mall is located in Tuchoměřice, a location conveniently close to Prague’s Václav Havel Airport for travellers. It will be serviced by new public transport stops on the 312 and 322 bus lines.
Among the first retailers opening at Prague The Style Outlets next week will be Adidas, Benetton, Bogner, Frankie Morello, Gattinoni, Geox, Karl Lagerfeld, Marina Militare, Nike, Palmers, Pepe Jeans, Trussardi and Versace Jeans, among many others.
Around 70 stores are planned to open at the location next week, a number that is expected to expand to 110 in the near future.
They will also include the second Czech location of British toy store Hamleys, which operates one of the largest toy stores in Europe in central Prague.
“We are delighted to offer our visitors a range of top international and Czech brands,” stated Lenka Kholová, Centre Manager at Prague The Style Outlets, in a press release..
Prague The Style Outlets will be a magnet for both local visitors and travellers visiting Prague. They will definitely enjoy a unique experience: a high-quality brand mix, extraordinary food offerings, value-added service and, of course, great discounts all year round.
“All this in an attractive surrounding and architecture that mirrors the traditional architectural style of Prague’s city centre.”
Food operations will be managed by HMS Autogrill, which specializes in outlets in airports and highways.
From Friday, bus numbers 312 and 322 will be extended to bring customers to the mall in Tuchoměřic, a rerouting that will cost an estimated two million crowns.
Prague The Style Outlets is located at the same location as the infamous Galerie Moda, which was set to open in 2007 to compete with Fashion Arena Prague. Just before opening, however, the Italian owners went bankrupt.
