After a long winter that saw low temperatures and even some snow in Prague through late March, spring has finally sprung in the Czech capital.
Temperatures in Prague are forecasted to reach the low 20s this weekend, with highs of around 22° C by Sunday afternoon.
A cooling period today and tomorrow will see a cold front from the northwest drop average daily temperatures to single digits on Friday.
In mountainous regions throughout the Czech Republic, temperatures will dip below zero and snowfall is expected.
In Prague, however, things will quickly heat back up for the weekend. The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute is forecasting daytime highs to reach 20° C in the Central Bohemian region on Saturday.
With clear skies in the forecast for the region throughout the weekend, temperatures are expected to reach 22° C in Prague on Sunday.
The warm weather is forecast to last through early next week, with another light cold front cooling things down a bit by next weekend.
